Over the weekend, I wrote down all of the ideas I could come up with for making money and was slightly surprised at how long the list was. While I can’t share all of my secrets with you yet, I felt I should post a few of my ideas for you to read and perhaps you may start taking advantage of one or more of them.

1. Start a blog and make money from ad sales

This one should be pretty obvious, as you are reading it right now. However, I wanted to include it to show just how easy it is to do such a thing. After browsing several popular blogs about blogging, and finally deciding on a domain name, I went to work setting up my own blog. With Marko Saric’s Wordpress installation guide I easily set up my blog and within just a few minutes was creating my very first post. I am currently working on creating affiliate linking through Google AdSense and will soon have relevant advertising on my blog which will hopefully generate a passive income and grow as I continue to post and gain more readers.

2. Collecting donations

While this may seem like a stupid idea that would never work, you would be surprised at how willing people are to give money if you just ask. So that’s exactly what I’m doing. I am asking you, the reader of my blog, to donate money to me in order to help me achieve my goal of raising one million dollars by my next birthday. To make it easier for you, here is a link to donate to my fund through Paypal. Thank you in advance :)

3. Selling your old things

Everyone has things lying around the house that they no longer have a use for. But just because you can’t use something doesn’t mean that no one else will. Sites such as Craigslist or eBay make it very easy to post almost anything for sale and available to everyone who uses the internet. Think of it as having a garage sale without having to set up everything in your garage and sit outside in the heat all day waiting for someone to come buy it.

That’s all I have for now, but there is sure to be more later. I know its not much, but this is how I got started, so see where you can go with it. In the near future I will also fill you in on some of the crazy ventures I’ve had before and actually made quite a bit of money from.
