My first funds will be coming soon! I received two emails today, one from amazon.com, where I recently sold a couple of last semester’s textbooks, and one from the UTD bursar’s office, both informing me that money will be deposited into my checking account in the next few days.
From Amazon:
Dear Randy,
We initiated a transfer to your checking account on 01/24/2010.
Funds usually arrive within 3 – 5 banking days, but times vary by bank.
And UTD:
This is an automated message to inform you that your refund has been processed. Please note that it may take up to 5 business days for the funds to be deposited into your account.
But thats not all! After the receiving those two emails, I logged in to the IRS web site to check on the status of my tax return and found the following information:
Your tax refund is scheduled to be direct deposited on January 29, 2010. If your refund is not credited to your account by February 3, 2010, check with your bank to find out if it has been received.
So within a few days I will be expecting a very large balance in my checking account. Once all of the money has been deposited, I plan to take out all of my expenses and make the first deposit into my savings account, and with that, begin my financial journey towards my 1 million dollar goal!
